Response to Nick's week 4 Eureka Moment

I find your post interesting. Now i have never working in a school which, like you said, is mostly female dominant but i have had a little experience in other work areas so i am going to speak in general. I think that the reason woman are so much more competitive than men in the work force is becaus we have to be. Our book even talked about how men are more likely to get a promotion than woman are. So we have do what we can to try to show that we are capable of holding that position as well. This probably comes off as being extremely competitive because of how hard some of us work to try to prove our worth and get promoted. I also think that woman tend to take things personally when at work simply because they are more emotional. When you put a lot of time and effort into something and then have it all go wrong or someone tell you your wrong it becomes hard to handle. Sometimes i think woman just dont know how to NOT take it personally.
